Baseball Agility Strength Explosion

Arm Care & Development Program

Follow a holistic approach, meaning throwing is not done with just an arm. In order for any type of throw to be made, the following muscles need to be strong, healthy, reactive and pliable; All 4 muscles in the rotator cuff, flexor muscles in the forearm, latissimus dorsi (back), pectoralis major (chest), rhomboids, scapula, trapezius, quadriceps, gluteus maximus, hamstrings, hip internal and external rotators, core stabilizers.

When an athlete attempts to gain velocity, increase stamina, or throw with greater force, a tremendous demand is placed on the body. If an athlete attempts to meet his goals simply through long toss, he is destined for injury. Common baseball injuries that are seen from an athlete throwing too much, too hard, or with poor mechanics are;

  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis
  • Rotator Cuff Bursitis
  • Rotator Cuff Tears
  • Labral Tears
  • Shoulder Contusion
  • Glenohumeral Ligament Strains and Tears

In a smarter approach to helping an athlete reach his goals we will focus on the following;

• Internal and External Rotator Cuff Exercises
• Passive Internal and External Rotator Cuff Stretches
• Shoulder Adduction and Abduction
• Rythmic Stablization
• Elbow Flexion and Extension
• Hip Mobility
• Hip Extension
• Quadriceps and Hamstring Development
• Balance
• Core Stablization and Rotational Power
• Flexibility
• Interval Training
• Proper Nutrition
• Trigger Point Therapy
• Active Recovery

To develop a sound training program the following items will be used;
